HOW YOU CAN HELP
Volunteer Your Time
Shelter Outreach Plus and our many programs welcome individual and group volunteers. Every hour of volunteer time allows us to use our monetary resources to increase the provision of direct services to our clients.
Volunteer needs include:
- Home Repairs
- Special Events & Projects
- Transportation of Clients
- Office and Administrative
- Organizing storage and supplies for our food pantries and the MOST and I-HELP warehouse facilities.
- Fundraising Help
- Yard Maintenance
- Teaching Skills
- Volunteer drivers to assist our mobile teams
If you have a skill you want to share, we can find a place for you to help. Recently, we had volunteers arrange a successful and well attended cooking class for the children living in our programs. Regularly, women and men studying at the Defense Language Institute donate their time to Shelter Outreach Plus, as mentors to the children and to assist staff with large projects.
