Men In Transition
The Men In Transition (MIT) program, located in Marina, is a 18 to 24 month transitional living program for men only. The program provides transitional housing with 24 single occupancy rooms for men who are committed to an independent and sustainable lifestyle.
- MIT incorporates the need for employment, job training, and educational activities as the key component to an independent life.
- Participants in MIT receive case management, access to job training as well as other educational activities.
- Applicants must be homeless and meet HUD guidelines for homelessness.
- Applicants must be employed or enrolled in a vocational or educational program.
- Must have 60 consecutive days in I-Help, Sun Street, Genesis House or other such programs. Applicant can apply after 30 consecutive days in I-Help.
- If there is a drug and or alcohol history, participants must attend three relapse prevention meetings per week and also submit to random drug testing.
- Fees required are a $150 deposit and the payment of rent, not to exceed thirty percent of participant’s income.
- All applicants will be drug tested prior to entering into the MIT program.
